The business was created to bring to Australia one of the world’s finest fibres from Peru. In this opportunity we have started with alpaca clothing.
RUNA ALPACA represents hard work, commitment and passion. We want to share the color and diversity of Peruvian alpaca clothing.
The textile products are created for the best designers in Peru and they are elaborated in factories strategically located in the Regions that the best raw real alpaca, baby alpaca wool are available. The people who design these products are simple and hard working individuals.

Why Alpaca?
The award winning alpacas produce fibre that is almost hollow, and is a specialty natural fibre. It is warm, soft to the touch, durable, strong (superior to cashmere & angora wools), very luxurious and silky with a rich handle and drape.
Garments made from alpaca fibre provide excellent thermal properties within an extremely lightweight structure. The high insulation qualities and lightweight properties are due to the fibres microscopic internal air pockets.
Alpaca fibre is renowned for its lustre and shine, where unlike sheep's wool, alpaca fibre is five times warmer. Also with having no lanolin and a smooth cell structure, the fibres are less likely to itch making alpaca products hypo-allergenic.
There are more than 24 natural colours of alpaca fleece available, where the blending of these fibres enables an infinite range of gorgeous natural colours.
Alpaca fibre is often referred to as the "Fibre of the Gods". Alpaca clothes are breathable, quality and long lasting and wear resistant.
Garments made from Alpaca were once only worn by Incan Royalty. Peru is the largest producer of alpaca fiber in the world. The 86% of the alpaca fibre that is sold in the world comes from Peru.
